AFTERCARE

Lip Blush Aftercare

Immediately following the procedure, lips will feel dry, chapped, tight and tender to the touch. They may appear swollen and bright in colour. Please do not touch your lips unless you are applying your aftercare cream, ensure your hands are clean when doing so.

For 4 hours after treatment, apply light pressure on lips with a clean paper towel, to remove any lymph. After 4 hours, start applying ointment as needed to keep lips constantly moist

No kissing, rubbing or friction on treatment area

Day 1-3

Apply ointment on lips several times a day. Keep lips moist at all times. Avoid oily, spicy and heavily seasoned food and drink with a straw. After every meal gently rinse and clean lips with water and pat dry, then re-apply ointment.

DAY 4-7

Between these days, lips will begin and end the process of peeling, and colour will lighten by 30-50%.

Do not pick or rub your lips and let the peeling happen naturally. Continue keeping your lips moist!

WEEK 2

Lips are done peeling, colour is light. You may return to normal routines. Lips will continue to heal for up to 6 weeks. Every week more color will surface, it is important to continue keeping lips moist to get the best colour at the end of the healing phase.

WEEK 6-8

Your lips are healed, Just add some lip gloss and go! In most cases it requires two treatments to complete the lip transformation.

The following must be avoided for 14 days post procedure 

Increased sweating

Sports

Swimming

Hot sauna, hot bath, or Jacuzzi

Sun tanning or sun beds

Exposure to UV/UVA Rays or chemicals as they have been known to cause a shift in colour and premature fading

Any laser or chemical treatments or peelings, and/or any creams containing Retin-A or Glycolic acid on the treatment area

Touching of the treatment area except for when applying the post-care ointment.

Picking, peeling, or scratching of the treatment area in order to avoid scarring of the area or removal of the pigment

Drinking alcohol in excess, as it may lead to slow healing of wounds. 


AFTERCARE

Microblading & Ombre Brow Aftercare

Using a clean tissue or cotton pad gently pat the area every 5-10 minuets following the treatment until there is no longer any lymph fluid on the brows.

Using the soap provided wash your brows twice a day, pat dry and apply the ointment provided (the size of a grain of rice will do for both brows)

Do not get them wet, other than washing them with the soap provided until they are completely healed.

Do not rub pick or scratch the treated area, let it heal naturally. The area will scab over slightly and these will fall off themselves within 2 weeks. 

Avoid direct sunlight & sunbeds for the first two weeks.

No Chemical peels or facials for 1 month post procedure.

Avoid saunas, pools & steam rooms for at least 3 weeks.

Avoid sleeping on your stomach or directly on your brows while healing ensure you use a clean pillow case and change regularly during the healing process. 

Typical healing process:

Days 2-4 - your brows will appear darker.

Day 5-7 - your brows may be patchy and starting to scab over.

Day 8-10 - it may appear the pigment has disappeared. If your skin has returned to normal you may now get your brows wet.

Day 14-28 - your brows will reappear but ay be slightly uneaven. 

After Touchup - they are perfect!
